Orthodontic Fact #6 The first braces were of a piece of flat metal in 1720. This was connected to the patient’s teeth by using several pieces of thread.
Choose Modern Orthodontic Treatment to Straighten Your Teeth
People have been trying to straighten their teeth since the 1700’s, but today, you can visit an orthodontist for a professional evaluation to learn more about modern orthodontic devices. You don’t need to wear an uncomfortable piece of homemade metal that is attached to your teeth with thread because there are new treatments available. Hundreds of years ago, there were few treatments available to repair an individual’s misaligned teeth, and this led to an unattractive appearance and poor overall health. When you visit an orthodontic facility, you will undergo a fast examination that includes medical images to determine if you have mild or serious malocclusions.
Request the AcceleDent System for Faster Treatment
When you have minor malocclusions, it is possible to wear Invisalign aligners for six months or longer to eliminate the wide spaces between your teeth. However, the children and adults who have serious misalignments should wear braces instead. If your orthodontist recommends braces for your teeth, then you can request a new method of treatment that reduces the length of your treatment time. With AcceleDent, you are able to take home a small device that requires 20 minutes of treatment time each day to straighten your teeth faster. When you are able to complete orthodontic treatment quickly, it also costs less to have your teeth straightened.
